Hey, welcome to my profile, it is so great to have you here!

I'm Amber, and I would love to tell you a little bit about myself:

I grew up in a small Cornish town, and at the age of 8 years old I fell in love with the magic of photography. I remember waking up one morning to find a photograph if me lying asleep in my bed. My mum (an incredible artist), had turned the bathroom into a darkroom overnight and had taken a photo of me sleeping and then developed it over night, it was incredible, I was truly mesmerised by the magic of photography and how moments in time are captured for ever!

By the age of 11 I picked up a camera myself, and started taking photos of everything around me, from swinging on trees with my friends, my little brother's pet rat, my school chums during a science lesson (yes I got in trouble for that!), the bright flags at family music festivals.

I went to art college at the age of 16 to 18 and had the best time, probably too much fun! I had a film camera but couldn't afford the new digital SLR that had been released (yes this was a long time ago)!

I never thought I would become a photographer myself, so I went to university and studied conservation biology, I love to travel and I love the natural world so this seemed like a perfect career option for me! When I arrived in Bristol I fell in love with the city, it is truly a cultural and creative hub! I had to buy a camera so I could capture the amazing experiences and travelling adventures I had planned! So I saved up and got my first digital SLR a Canon 350d! It was amazing!

One thing lead to another and I started a career as a music photographer, some of the highlights were working for 2 leading music magazines as a staff photographer, travelling across the UK on tour with a live band, capturing headline DJ's at Glastonbury, and photographing at some of the top clubs in the UK and abroad including Ministry of Sound and Fabric London, and Pacha Ibiza!

One more thing lead to another and I captured my first wedding, it's a long story, (make sure you ask me about it one day)! That was almost 20 years ago and I NEVER thought I would run a successful wedding photography business, I didn't even like weddings (I was young don't shoot me)!

So I graduated from university and started a job in marketing & PR! Yes conservation biology into marketing & PR, I know...but I continued in that career for 10 years and loved every minute of it!

Until I had some bad news one day and I was told my job might be made redundant, so I decided (after some encouragement from a friend) to bite the bullet and start my wedding photography business, why not I thought. It was a crazy decision, being a single mum, with no savings in the bank and no business experience, but here I am 8 years later. Running a successful 6 figure wedding photography business with a team of 6 amazing photographers & videographers! It has been a complete whirlwind or a journey and I still have to pinch myself sometimes!

Me, a serial entrepreneur, with 4 businesses! I would never have believed it if you told me this 8 years ago!

It has been a tough 8 years and I have learnt A LOT along the way. I always wished I had someone to share my journey with, someone to hold my hand and tell me what to do next, rather than me muddling my way through it, learning as I went, making lots of costly mistakes! I always thought there was something wrong with me when clients didn't book, I felt like a failure when I wasn't making a profit, and I worked so many hours I didn't have a life!

I did get a mentor after a few years, but it was very pricey, I was almost on the brink of burn out, and I definitely needed one sooner.

I have been coaching and mentoring businesses through my in-person and online group workshops, and 1-2-1 sessions for the past 5 years, but I felt there was still something missing, I realised not everyone could afford to pay £1000's for 1-2-1 coaching. That's why I have set this NEW membership for photographers.
