A Taste of Nostalgia! Chef Kiki&#39;s cuisine has been called vintage recipes meets farm-to-table, sharing American Vintage dishes from the 1920&#39;s through the 1970&#39;s. Kiki is an intuitive chef who learned to cook and bake on the strings of her mother’s apron. Her British mother was formally trained in the culinary arts, but dedicated her cooking skills to feeding her large family, as well as her community. This is where Kiki&#39;s love of all things vintage began! My greatest culinary teachers were the women in the kitchens of my youth; my mother, sisters, aunts, church ladies, neighbors, and even school lunch ladies. The women who created big Sunday dinners, and practical weekday meals, as well as celebration feast. Kiki offers the familiar flavors and concepts of vintage recipes with her own twist, keeping alive the dishes of our mothers and grandmothers from decades past. Kiki&#39;s earliest memories are of standing on an old, wooden chair beside my mother as she formulated her recipes into delightful baked goods and familiar family meals. That tiny yellow kitchen with the 1970’s flower power wallpaper was the center of our household. It was there that Kiki learned the steps and techniques of baking bread, slow cooking a roast, canning the fruits of a garden. It was there that she learned about the connection between food and emotions. &quot;My mother would often tell me the story of a recipe as she cooked. Where it came from, how it was significant to our culture or family tradition. We would talk about the ingredients, and its connection to us.  Every Friday afternoon I would accompany mum to our local farmers market where she would look for the freshest ingredients, sometimes haggling prices with farmers. The smells and sights of the bustling market would linger in my senses, and always made me feel warm and welcome. I still frequent that very same farmers market. &quot;Today Chef Kiki continues the traditions surrounding the American family, community, and food! ~ Meals with Memories
