Dear Families and Friends of Creating Together,
Happy New Year! We’ve had the pleasure of greeting a few of you in the centre this week with the return of 2022 in-person programming, and look forward to seeing more of you in the coming weeks. With the new restrictions in place we understand that this time poses many challenges for all, with continual pivoting in workplaces, as well as at home learning for our children among other stressors. We aim to remain your supportive network and community hub as we all navigate these changes. Please see some important updates on programming below, as well as New Year news from Creating Together.
Program Updates
We are pleased to announce that we remain open for in-person programming at this time, yet will be limiting our capacity to two families per session. Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us -- We continue to follow all of the Toronto Public Health safety recommendations and standards. Our screening process remains in place upon arrival, and will now include temperature checks for all visitors to the centre.
We welcome families for in-person programming:
Monday-Wednesday, and every other Saturday.
9:30am - 11:00am
11:30am - 1:00pm

New Virtual Program: Science with Sal
Looking for some interactive live virtual science? Creating Together is trying something new, so why don’t you? Join Salvina in our virtual lab for an interactive science program from the comfort of your own home. This program offers opportunities for you to embark on a hands-on learning experience no matter where you are, using easy-to-find at home materials.
The live virtual science session will take place for 3 weeks consecutively on Thursdays from 2:00pm - 2:30pm with the first session starting on January 13th. On the Monday of that program week, a pre-recording of the science experiment will be posted, along with the materials needed. NOTE: Registration is required by January 12th. Upon registration, families can inquire about materials for the upcoming sessions.
The program sessions are as follows:
Stress Free Slime (All Ages) – Thurs. Jan 13, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m
2 Mystery Number Hunt (All Ages) – Thurs. Jan 20, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m.
Fishing for Ice (All Ages) – Thurs. Jan 27, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m.

2022 Resource Boxes
We would like to remind you of another great service here at Creating Together: Resource Boxes. We offer monthly resource boxes to any family who actively participates in online or in-person programming at Creating Together. Typically, you can expect to find arts and craft materials, books, and the additional option of assorted snack items.
If you are interested in receiving a monthly Resource Box in 2022, please call or e-mail the centre, or let a staff member know.
Even if families were on the list in 2021, and wish to remain on the list, we ask that you contact the centre and update your information so we can ensure the box is outfitted appropriately to suit your interests and needs.
2021 Program Survey
Have you chosen a new year’s resolution this year? Our resolution is the same as always: to offer a welcoming, warm and inviting learning space for our community! You can help us achieve this resolution by reflecting on 2021 in our Creating Together Family Survey. Your feedback is integral to our improvement as we plan for both in-person and virtual program options. Our survey will be open for responses throughout the month of January.
