Check out the October DRAM FINE GEMS:
1. Hepburn's Choice Ardmore Aged 6 Years
Hepburn's Choice ~ Distilled at Ardmore Distillery from the Highland region and aged 6 years. The Hepburn’s Choice range comprises whiskies bottled either from specially-selected single casks or from small batches of two to three casks. Always bottled at 46% alcohol, and naturally without artificial colouring or chill-filtration. Bottled in 2020 from a wine cask, one of 347 bottles.
Tasting note: Vanilla, red fruits, peat.
2. Kingsbarns Balcomie
Distilled using Fife barley and matured in ex-Oloroso American Oak Sherry Butts used previously for maturing Sherry. These casks were chosen for their gentle oak flavours and sherry rich sweetness to compliment the fruit character of the Kingsbarns spirit.
Tasting note: Sweet tinned pineapple up front, orange peel, cake spice.
3. Lagavulin 16 Years
It's back in stock! This well loved single malt is not for the faint of heart, with massive peat-smoke that’s typical of southern Islay. The best selling whisky is aged in oak casks for at least sixteen years and bottled at 43% ABV.
Tasting note: sweet, smoky, seaweed flavours and a huge finish.
