Kinda of a riff on the Roxette Song. To all you young ones, look it up, while the rest of us sit over here and date ourselves.
But honestly, there is truly nothing better that you can do on this Full Moon in Leo in the Sign of Aquarius, than listen.
We had coffee with one of our mentors the other day and she said, "human beings don't learn," to which we responded, "at a fundamental level human beings don't listen."
Another mentor of ours speaks to the importance of the process: Listen, Learn, and Love.
First, we need to listen to our bodies. We know that change happens on a somatic level. There is a reason why the ecology of the gut has a direct effect on heart health and disease. Remembering that "dis-ease" starts with an "uneasy" feeling. That is your body trying to tell you something. This applies to our physical, mental and emotional health. It does this to spare us heartache - to keep us out of situations, relationships, or patterns that may not be good for us at that present moment in time.
What we have learned from the guiding of our mentors is that if something makes our heart hurt, we leave it alone. If it brings us joy - a feeling of safety and peace, we open ourselves to receive more.
So this month, we encourage everyone to take big belly breathes. Let your belly expand on your inhales and allow your breath to rise into your chest. Imagine your breath rinsing out the linings of your stomach and the chambers of your heart.
Our monthly full moon events continue this Sunday, February 5th. Our instructors will walk you through the use of your breathe to attune to your body back towards a feeling of ease and love.
See you all soon.
