I was met with Burnout.
A motivational drain and a vacant energy withdrawal.
It locks the door on all your clarity and willpower, leaving you trapped - Knowing you should be achieving more but 'feeling' as if you're unable to.
This may be a dark side to ambition, but an important part.
Sometimes you can have strong momentum, smashing your targets, and yet, you find that you suddenly can't think.
You become unclear, your body feels heavy, and worst of all, you are unable to execute.
Some of you may be thinking "That's depression"
... No it is not.
It harvests symptoms of depression, but you are still happy inside, you still feel hopeful and you know you're strong but unable to act. An Athlete after their workout is often unable to lift that bar... that does not mean that they are weak.
The solution to this fatigue?
Rest.
I have taken two days, not allowing my ideology (I want to achieve x, y & z) to suffocate me. This is often a curse of those that work long hours, that when they get time to rest, they spend it thinking about the work or stresses. I'm sure worrying parents out there would definitely know what I'm talking about!
You Need To Switch Off
Instead, I said "Ahh I need some time off" and took it.
2 days later I'm back to around 80% of my usual energy levels and #feelsgood.
I really am curious to know how you recover when you're overworked or tired?
