I had a business process interview with a friend who I've worked with previously. this person who has COMPLETELY CHANGED their self-belief surprised me.
Initially, they talked themself out of their passion, and I wouldn't allow it, we had a deep conversation about how they could sell their work, and regardless of what they believe THAT THEY ARE VALUABLE and TALENTED.
Since then, they set on themselves a new challenge, to make at least one sale on their own work... They did it in no time. They then went on to create more and more, to dedicate time, money, and effort into their passion, and are now expanding their own business ideas and GETTING PAID FOR THEIR PASSION.
The moment, that most surprised me is in the very beginning they stated "I'm not a business person, that's just not who I am.."
(Maybe some of you feel the exact same way!)
and yet yesterday we spent an hour discussing business strategies, marketing, expansion, production, sales, and joint ventures. 🧑💼
My friend stated -along the lines of
"When It's something you're passionate about, that stuff (Business) get's exciting. It's important to know and then it becomes fun"
Understand that what at first seems 'out of character' and 'not you' can become a GAME that you enjoy.
I'm so very proud of my friend, not only because they are disciplined, and working hard at what they're passionate about, and learning new skills to live their dream...
