Introduced to the world of fresh-baked scones while in graduate school, I spent many years in search of the perfect scone recipe. One that created a scone with a slightly crunchy exterior, and a tender and light interior. One that meant I'd never go looking for a 'better' recipe.

I DID find the perfect recipe--and it became our 'base' Original Recipe Scone mix--and the basis for Victorian House Scones. And 20+ years later, it is still the perfect recipe and the perfect scone.
